Sam Okyere, Ghanaian acting sensation in South Korea recently opened a branch of the popular Juice franchise; ‘My Juice’ at Avenue France shopping Center in Pangyo. The juice bar serves healthy juices of different flavors and cravings.
Sam, who came to Korea as a student on Korean Government scholarship, has risen fast to become one of the most cherished black celebrity and TV personality sought after in Korea. He is always treading a new path and never looking back.
Aside from acting and modeling, Sam recently partnered with World Vision to raise funds to build schools for children in rural Ghana. He’s also been leading an advocacy to mitigate stereotypes and racism in the Korean society.
Some of the notable productions under his feature cap are; Hello Counsellor, JTBC’s Non-Summit show, Model for Doota, Korea SNL and others.
Sam Okyere, in addition to opening the Juice bar, has cofounded a social enterprise known as MixYourKimchi, which aimed at blending different cultures through food and fashion. The maiden clothing brand which is a T-shirt with the inscription, “Jollof With Kimchi” – a fusion of Ghanaian food with Korean Kimchi has received a massive appeal from Africans and non-Africans across the world.
We congratulate Sam for this feat and wants to see him open up more thriving businesses in Korea.
Koreaseekers TV crew were there to cover the full event which was highly patronized by friends, families and his numerous fans. They had the opportunity to try firsthand some of the juices on sale.
If you ever feel for healthy juicing, make your way to Pangyo France Avenue to try the freshly blended juice at My Juice.
