Yes, you read that right, there are tons of websites you can watch Kdrama for free. I subscribe to DramaFever but have been lately disappointed with the licensing issues they are grappling with.
Also, I realized there are so many other Kdramas and feature films that I am not getting on Drama Fever, so I decided to look around and explore. I have listed the sites in no particular order. For some, I personally use those but for others, it has been recommended to me though I am yet to use them.
You have to know that watching for free does not mean free as you will have to deal with watching Ads or annoying pop ups. For some of these websites, you can become a member and upgrade if you ever get tired of the ads. This is quite a long list(even though it doesn’t even cover all the websites available) and so I will break them into 2 parts.
DramaFever was launched in 2009 by co-founders Seung Bak and Suk Park out of a New York City apartment beginning with just one Korean Drama series. Enjoy a free ad-supported version or upgrade to DramaFever Premium for HD viewing without interruptions. There is an app on Google Appstore for you to download and watch on the go. DramaFever offers a free 7 day trial for new prospective premium members. Once you sign up for DramaFever, you have 7 days to cancel before you are charged for any programming. They will collect your payment information in order to prevent abuse of this trial program. You can check the website for more information www.dramafever.com

Korea’s three largest broadcasters launched Kocowa( Korean Content Wave) in the United States, offering a single destination to watch popular Korean TV programs, including drama, variety shows, and K-Pop shows. Kocowa is available on a variety of platforms including PC, mobile and tablets, and later this year on Smart TVs. MyDramaList.com’s goal is to provide Asian drama/movie fans a site where they can create their very own dramalists, discuss dramas and movies with other like-minded people, discover new dramas/movies to watch, and make friends all while having tons of fun. MyDramaList.com was first launched on April 6th, 2011 after several years of hard development and beta testing by a few users. Currently, the site is still in Beta mode, as it’s not perfect(because we all know perfection is possible 😛 ). MDL is a community driven project where users of all backgrounds can add to the wide database of Asian Dramas, Asian Movies, and Asian Actors and Actresses. It’s free to register and create an account. You can do that at www.mydramalist.com
I must admit I have a love hate relationship with this website. Their servers seem to crash so much, but it might be due to location, who knows? Currently, there seems to be a pending lawsuit against them, but let’s see how that goes. ( you can read more about that here: http://business.inquirer.net/224735/abs-cbn-files-8-m-infringement-suit-against-kissasian-com). This website is truly free; you do not need to create an account. You will have to deal with pop ups but there are no ads in the video but on the page itself which you can close without even watching it. This website is one of my go to websites for my favorite dramas and weekend dramas. Check them out at www.kissasian.com
This is also similar to KissAsian. Sometimes I feel this is the same as KissAsian as the interface looks similar. However, this website has more dramas available that KA. Apart from the pop ups you have to deal with, the website is absolutely free to watch. No need to create an account. I use this quite more often. They are also quick with uploading content. They have various backup servers to ensure you always get your K-drama fixed. You can download dramas from this website to enjoy on the go. Find them at www.boxasian.com
This also works similarly to Boxasian and Kissasian. You don’t need to create an account. You can also download for free on this website at www.myasiantv.se
HanCinema is an independent Korean Movie and Drama Database created by Cedric Collemine in 2003. It provides information related to Korean movies, television dramas, actors, and other related information. You can sign up to receive alerts and also news on this website. I haven’t used this personally but it seems to get the job done. No need for an account. Just go to www.sojuopp.gq and you are good to go. You can also download from here.

11. Watch KDrama For Free On DRAMACOOL
This is also a cool (pun intended) site to watch kdrama for free. You can check them out www.thedramacool.org. They have come through for me in the past when most of my sites were down or just not working.
There isn’t much to say about this as there isn’t much written about it but it’s a place to get your K-drama fix. You can check it out at www.dramafans.org
Look out for the second part of this list which has also been posted.
